Nobina selects Gaia for the development of driver support for Malmö’s urban transport

Nobina, the Nordics’s largest public transport operator, signs a contract with Gaia for consultancy services and software ahead of this summer’s traffic start in Malmö.

Nobina signs a contract with Gaia for consultancy services and software. Gaia and Nobina will together develop driver support for the operator’s traffic data system. Carolina Kobak, IT Director at Nobina, explains: 

“Gaia possesses the right technical expertise to collaborate with us in developing our traffic data system and enhance our proficiency around map visualization and geodata. It’s also a significant advantage that they understand and can address the challenges of public transport.” 

Traffic launch of new urban transport in Malmö

The driver support being developed will be one of the components for this summer’s traffic launch of new urban transport in Malmö. The traffic start will be one of Sweden’s largest investments in electric buses. 

“For Gaia, working with a large and leading player like Nobina means a lot. We’ve been able to contribute components from our cloud solution Gaia Public Transport. At the same time, the collaboration gives us insights into how to further develop our platform to better support the operators’ activities.” says Johan Lindén, CEO of Gaia.
